In the Iltharan Star Navy this design was reserved for the less capable, high ranking flag officers, this was seen as an idiot-proof posting. As a fleet command flag ship it was big, tough and heavily armed and well protected. This meant that it was more forgiving of officers who lacked skills or initiative. Those who were well connected and needed to live through a battle or two were posted here for safe keeping. Few were built and fewer were lost in battle.
