''Unstreamlined craft'' are specialized [[spacecraft]] designed to fly through the [[vacuum]], not [[jumpspace]] nor a planetary [[atmosphere]]. Unlike the streamlined hulls of atmospheric cost, much less material is required for surface plating allowing less need for materials and allowing greater access to machinery and equipment.
