Universal Codes are a means of presenting information in a concise format that is common amongst nearly all worlds of Charted Space.

Description (Specifications)

These codes tend to be human specific, notably the Imperium and the Solomani Confederation make use of them. Codes use a hexadecimal representation for the characters, sometimes extended through the rest of the alphabet (except for I and O) to allow single character representation of numbers up to 33. Separators (usually a -) are used to differentiate sections, and some have been extended from the original definition.
