[[Universal Code]]s are a means of presenting information in a concise format that is common amongst nearly all worlds of [[Charted Space]].

== Description ([[Specifications]]) ==
These codes tend to be human specific, notably the {{Imperium}} and the [[Solomani Confederation]] make use of them. Codes use a [[Hexadecimal Notation]] for the characters, sometimes extended through the rest of the alphabet (except for I and O) to allow single character representation of numbers up to 33. Separators (usually a -) are used to differentiate sections, and some have been extended from the original definition.
