Ultima subsector is the backwater of the Solomani Rim Sector, far from the major trade routes. The region suffered economically during the Long Night more than the rest of the sector, and its recovery is still not yet complete.
The problems of Iddamakur are especially acute. During the rule of the Solomani Autonomous Region, Iddamakur was used as a planetary prison dumping ground for all of the undesirable elements of the region. Different populations of dissidents were distributed among the world's twelve small continents and numerous archipelagos. Technology beyond level 4 was prohibited, as was sea travel between groups. After the Solomani Rim War, the world was opened, but Iddamakur remains a poor world desperately in need of interstellar exchange to purchase advanced technology. Its main source of income is its newly built type A starport linking the somewhat more prosperous worlds of Basil and Darrukesh with the rest of the sector.
The Ultima Subsector had an estimated population in 1117 of approximately 45.4 billion. Its highest population was 24.8 billion at Azun, and its highest tech level was 15 at Athene.
The Ultima Subsector has an estimated population in 1202 of approximately 3.34 billion, a decline of 93 percent from its Pre-Collapse population. Its highest population is 1.26 billion at Iddamakur, and its highest tech level is 9 at Darrukesh and Kropotkin.
