The Traveller Wiki Editorial Team is a group of authors, contributors, and fans of the Traveller RPG game and universe.
- They are tasked with developing, overseeing, leading, heading, and policing the Traveller RPG Wiki here, also known as the AAB Vilani Galactic Encyclopedia, and now the AAB Imperial Encyclopedia.
- The Traveller Wiki Editorial Team is always looking for new members. Please message Thomas Jones-Low or Maksim-Smelchak at CotI or here in the forums for more information.
Description (Specifications)
The team is part of a rather loose group of individuals involved in the day-to-day running of the Traveller RPG Wiki.
Team Members roles & Privileges
Involved individuals are grouped by Special:List group rights [1].

- Traveller:Bureaucrats
- Traveller:Referee
- Traveller:Users
1. Traveller:Administrators
Adminstrators oversee the day-to-day programming (coding) needs and database maintenance needs of the wiki.
- Administrators' primary job however is as leadership of the wiki and its associated community.
- They keep records and monitor the wiki.
- They also help keep content within FUP, copyright, and other content restrictions and regulations.
- They work with FFE and legal assets to keep everything kosher.
- The Head Administrator, a sort of right hand to the Emperor, is known informally as the Wiki Mom and the current title holder is: Mr. Thomas Jones-Low
- The Head Administrator is the lead executive leader for the wiki. That person has the final word on matters.
2. Traveller:Bots
Nonhuman users used to check articles and files at the macro level.
- They are programs designed to mass-check and update files.
- Bots often have names referring back to the greater body of Traveller literature such as AB-101.
- Bots of part of the Imperial Bureaucracy of the wiki.
3. Traveller:Bureaucrats
Bureaucrats help to standardize the wiki, update it to the latest formats, and otherwise keep the show rolling...
- They help with content and organization.
- For those familiar with the Traveller OTU, these individuals are really "Bwap-o-crats."
- The head bureaucrat is the legislative leader of the wiki.
4. Traveller:Mashkim
Mashkim are the police, moderators, or gendarmie of the wiki. They watch out for spammers, ban them, and adjudicate disputes between members when necessary.
- The wiki environment here is highly Hiver-like or unregulated, and permissiveness is the order of the day.
- This is primarily a site for the enjoyment of fans as designated by FFE.
- It is not designated as a source of Canon or final word. Users and fans should consult published primary sources for that determination. "Officially speaking," all content on the wiki is designated as non-canon. FFE and designated licensees designate canon.
- The Head Mashik is the judicial lead for the wiki.
- Referees are a sort of Virushi bouncers for this fine establishment.
5. Traveller:Referee
Referees are game masters using the wiki to run game campaigns.
6. Traveller:Users
Human users who write and edit the articles at both the micro and macro levels.
- This is the largest body of users and many of the members are part time or sporadic users... Some are even one-time users.
- They are the bread and butter of the wiki, the Citizens of the Imperium, for all practical purposes.
- The official FFE Traveller forum also goes by the same name.
- Users of part of the Imperial Bureaucracy of the wiki.
History & Background (Dossier)
In the days of the TML, or Traveller Mail List an older e-mail distribution list back in the late 1980's and 90's, the Head Administrator of the list was known informally as the List Mom.
- In that tradition, the head administrator of the wiki is the wiki mom.
Head Administrator Service Specifications
The office has few specifications or rules.
- The title could be extended by gender, i.e. list dad, or other preference, i.e. list person, if the holder prefers it.
- There is no designated term of service.
- Title holders are designated by FFE.
Wiki Mom (Head Adminstrator)
The Emperor's List of Wiki Moms have included the following individuals:
- Lord (Count) and Chief Marshall Dan Corrin of the Office of the Emperor (2006 to 2012)
- Mr. Thomas Jones-Low (Current holder of position (2012 to Present)
