The Tonuetiuhl sunflowers are a genetically engineered plant which naturally store sunlight (or other light sources), then release a bio-luminous glow during the night or other periods of darkness.
Originally developed by Feathered Serpent Pharmaceuticals on Ekhor (Dagudashaag 0227), the sunflowers are sold throughout the Imperium for use as secondary lighting, though the company ensures only genetically infertile plants are exported outside the Amec Trade Protectorate.
