The Bridge is the name given to a number of “island clusters” of stars amid the Shadow Rifts that lie far to trailing of the Distant Fringe.
They were used as stepping stones by the Last Armada as it followed the Desolate Path.
What little is known of these interstellar stepping stones comes from the Zelig Journal, a document that survives from that time.
