The primary is Gysoko, an ordinary orange main sequence [[star]]. It has a luminosity of 0.08 Sols, a mass of 0.570 Sols, and a diameter of 788,000 km. (I-I) a [[very thin atmosphere]] [[hospitable world]], and (I-II) Taraque, designated the [[mainworld]], have a shared orbit within the [[habitable zone]]. (II) a [[thin atmosphere]] [[hospitable world]], (III) a [[trace atmosphere]] [[iceworld]], (IV) a sparse stony [[planetoid belt]], (V) a sparse icy [[planetoid belt]], (VI) a [[ring]]ed large [[gas giant]], (VII) a small [[gas giant]], and (VIII) a [[vacuum]] [[worldlet]] form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.

(I-II) Taraque is designated the [[mainworld]]. It orbits Gysoko at a mean distance of 0.24 AU (35.9 million km), within the [[habitable zone]]. It has an orbital period of 56 days 21 hours: it is [[tidally locked]] to Gysoko. The axial tilt is 7 degrees. Taraque has a diameter of 9,743 km, a density of 4.97 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.69 G. Tidal stresses generated by the gravitational pull of Gysoko cause regular geological activity. Its atmosphere is rated as [[Thin atmosphere|Thin]], [[Tainted atmosphere|Tainted]], with a mean surface pressure of 0.51 bar and a composition of 78% nitrogen (N<sub><small>2</small></sub>), 21% oxygen (O<sub><small>2</small></sub>), and 1% argon (Ar), water vapor (H<sub><small>2</small></sub>O), carbon dioxide (CO<sub><small>2</small></sub>), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. The [[Tainted atmosphere|taint]] is caused by the relatively high levels of background radiation: emission rates exceed 1 rad per hour. Approximately 9% of the surface is covered in seas of liquid water: tidal ranges are negligible. Mean surface temperature: 28°C.
