Notes (2019)[edit]

Ronald B. Kline, Jr. (talk) 17:06, 22 October 2019 (EDT) I love this design an old classic. The HGS stats for the metadata don't match the design and the profile in the graphic. The source material version has too many weapon factors for a 2k design. The meta shows a 1K design. At 2,000 tons the design below is the best I could manage. That includes a pair of triple sand caster turrets, a pair of triple beam laser turrets, 4 particle accelerator turrets, and a 100 ton missile bay. The fuel refinery would allow it to skim and refine for a dispersed structure fleet tender. It doesn't need it. I packed it with extra everything to withstand criticals and meson internals. It had so much room left over it could easily move marines or carry fighters if need be. It has 39 single occupancy staterooms, luxury, no crowding, TWO low watches, with a crew of 11 command, 7 engineers, 15 gunners, 4 service and 2 security specialists. The traveller digest version is like the old FASA ships which would carry two bays AND 20 turrets all in 2,000 ton hulls. This is a misread of the original high guard rules.
