Should there be some sort of note about District 220 somewhere in this and the relationship between District 197/District 220? They might well be the same thing... but if one came over from the District page, and went looking for the District 220 described there, the lack of any reference might be a bit curious.  [[User:Kaladorn|Kaladorn]] ([[User talk:Kaladorn|talk]]) 00:37, 2 September 2020 (EDT)

Subsector Capital Notes

Arleshanu (3005) is described as the subsector capital in the Mongoose book (pg 20), but not in the subsector description or the UWP data.

  • The T5 data does not have a subsector capital.

Races Present

Where is the evidence for Jonkeereen being present? None of the world descriptions mention them, and the world stats are not obviously Jonkeereen friendly? BackworldTraveller (talk) 05:40, 7 May 2020 (EDT)

The The Regency Sourcebook has several notes about the Jonkeereen spreading throughout Deneb Sector. so by the Regency there may be small populations on several worlds. Tjoneslo (talk) 07:21, 7 May 2020 (EDT)

Marquis of Taproban

The UWP data doesn't support the statement that there is a Marquis at Taproban. BackworldTraveller (talk) 05:40, 7 May 2020 (EDT)

None of the worlds in Million Subsector have a Marquis. Ikhaba and Tensas both have barons, but that's the limit of the nobility in the Imperial worlds. So random explanation is the Marquis has been appointed from the outside, are given no land in the subsector, but are expected to manage the resources. It would be a exception to the rules, but not unexpected.Tjoneslo (talk) 07:30, 7 May 2020 (EDT)

Subsector Map

The Golden Era Subsector Map shown in this page does not agree to any travellermap.com version.

  • Olokono is misnamed (Olokoo) and has a spurious X-Boat link.
  • Arleshanu is missing its X-Boat link.
  • The set of worlds in the UFA is consistent with 1120
  • The worlds in the Imperium are not consistent with any date.

BackworldTraveller (talk) 14:36, 26 August 2020 (EDT)

The map is a hand drawn (well computer drawn) map using data from prior to the T5 Second Survey, or any Mongoose publication. I believe the data is from The Regency Sourcebook dated 1116. As you have discovered there were a number of other mistakes on these maps. While the original artist was available these would be fixed but they have been out of touch for a while.
Two options: Convert the template to Template:InfoboxSubsector, which pulls the data from the Traveller map. Or have me generate new image maps from the current data using the PyRoute program. The advantage of the image map is that it is clickable, you can click on the image over a world and be taken to the world article. Let me know which you prefer. Ideally a clickable version of the travellermap! Given the traveller map is definitive, that is probably the route to go. BackworldTraveller (talk) 01:46, 27 August 2020 (EDT)
I would love to do that. Given the current limitations of the Wiki software (and HTML) it's not currently possible. The TravellerMap display in the Template:InfoboxSubsector is scrollable and zoomable. So getting the map display to redirect to wiki articles is something needs to be done on the TravellerMap side. District 220

In the District page, there are two entries for when the Million Subsector was incorporated into the Imperium. Both are 400, but one is as District 197 and the other is as District 220. The Million_Subsector page mentions District 197, but not 220.

Should there be some sort of note about District 220 somewhere in this and the relationship between District 197/District 220? They might well be the same thing... but if one came over from the District page, and went looking for the District 220 described there, the lack of any reference might be a bit curious.
