To have been appointed, he must have been acceptable to the [[Duke of Regina]] - And to have worked effectively on [[Efate (world)|Efate]] he must have been acceptable to the [[Duke of Efate|Duchess of Efate]]. That makes him something of a politician.

To have commanded personally at [[Efate (world)|Efate]] during the [[Siege of Efate]] would have hampered the effective administration of the [[Imperial Army]] in the [[Regina Subsector]].

As the successful commander of the siege, he would have (presumably) been awarded some form of {{Imperial}} honour. Options include:
* Promotion to [[Sector Marshal (IA)|Sector Marshal]] - Politically tricky as that was in the control of the [[Duchess of Mora]]
* [[MCUF]] - The army option
* If not a [[Baron]] previously, he must have been made a [[Baron]] on becoming [[Vice Marshal]]
