History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

The settlers of Takaria are refugees from Akitilon (Lishun 3101), a client state that was taken over in 1023 by Zakishe (Lishun 3004) in a bloody war that decimated the populations of both worlds. As of yet, the Zakeshean invaders have not been able to track down all of the refugees in the forests of Takaria. Of course, the remaining populations of Zakishe and Akitilon, under technocratic rule, are not enough to field troops of sufficient number to capture the refugees.

Unfortunately, the only way that the Takarians will ensure their continued safety is if the technocratic government of Zakishe is overthrown. The Zakisheans covet the pleasant, liveable worlds so nearby, but their power depends on controlling access to technology and all but forbidding it to the conquered Akitilonians.

World Starport (Sp)[edit]

Takaria has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

Takaria has no central government for the world, an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.
