Synth Moss (Creature) Synopsis[edit]

This lichen-like growth is the "larval" state of a large plant-like life form.

Physiology & Ecology[edit]

No information yet available.

Life Cycle & Reproduction[edit]

If it has access to ample water, light and even the slightest air movement, it will grow at a voracious rate of doubling volume each hour. When it reaches about 15 m3, it will then begin to start to form roots and a trunk.

If it encounters resistance, it will not try to grow in other directions, but instead push on the offending obstruction. In the case of single immobile objects, this will push the mass away. This will get smaller rocks and competing plants out of the way. The fungal mat forms a rough circle about 5m across. It is on average 30cm thick, thinning out at the edges.

Diet & Trophics[edit]

Dark green in color, synth moss absorbs most EM energy at a voracious rate to starve competitors and store it for later.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

TAS Advisory[edit]

Spread by resilient fungal spores, this species is a common problem in environmental systems.

  • If missed or jammed in a filter, they can absorb other materials that pass by, reaching 30 liters in a few days.
