Sword World Confederate Navy
The Sword World Confederate Navy is famous for its clever and aggressive tactics that allow it to project power out of proportion to its size.
- This fleet serves the Sword Worlds Confederation.
- It is an interstellar navy and fleet organization.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
Fleets are consolidated from the squadrons raised from individual worlds. Admirals are selected to have operational command of all allied forces for the duration of each crisis or declared war. That overall command authority is relinquished at the conclusion of hostilities regardless of the outcome. Duty and service are honor bound traditions and solemn responsibilities, and do not represent an entitlement. Subordinates place their trust and the fate of their people and resources in the person selected as most capable of achieving victory. These are obligations not taken lightly, oaths are sworn, and pledges of loyalty made.
Mission (Goals)[edit]
They seek to protect their homeworlds and their interstellar interests against would be aggressor states.
Strategy & Doctrine (Operations)[edit]
Admirals seek to use their advantages against their opponents' weaknesses. On occasion, when facing large indecisive bureaucracies they use lightning fast strikes to seize the early initiative before cumbersome opponents can bring forces to bear. Surprise and overwhelming attacks can cause foes caught unaware to falter and flee. Sustaining operations and maintaining high tempo operations has not always been a strength for Sword Worlds Confederation forces. There is no lack of bravery and fighting spirit, historically the weight of enemy numbers eventually brings their offenses grinding down. Commerce raiding, aggressive patrolling, and deep penetration raids into poorly defended rear areas are popular opening moves.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
