Sword World Confederate Army
The Sword World Confederate Army is limited in technology when compared to the Imperium, Sword World forces are none the less impressive and effective. Units typically enjoy very high levels of morale. The officer corps is seen as very talented, skilled and highly trained. Sword World equipment is rugged and dependable. Gear is manufactured to very high standards of quality control. Mean time to failure for most systems exceeds those of their rivals.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
Garrison units for defense and internal security predominate. Preventing invasion and occupation are mission critical functions. The nature of the coalition command structure at the highest levels, means that smaller units tend to be more highly autonomous. Loyalty to your world of origin, frequently out weights your loyalty to the sword world higher command. Division commanders, act in what they consider the best interest of their home worlds. They may not all agree on what that means. Deeply ingrained concepts of patriotism and personal glory often demand what others would view as cavalier acts of bravery and heroic self sacrifice.
Mission (Goals)[edit]
Their mission is to defend their homeworlds.
Doctrine & Strategy (Operations)[edit]
Typically Sword Worlds units are designed for protection of a leader first and interstellar operations second.

Army Composition[edit]
Sword World vehicles tend to be rugged and reliable. They are hampered by their lower technology levels when facing imperial aggression. The grav tanks and apcs have thick armor, decent speed and firepower. The sensor suites on these vehicles tend to be lacking and they rely on static sensors and relayed telemetry for some missions. The tanks favor plasma guns with co-axial auto cannons and the apcs tend to have auto cannons and TAC missiles. Sword World units are well equipped for arctic conditions and consider fighting in the cold an advantage in their favor, against more delicate Darrian and Imperial troops.
Selected Vehicle Classes[edit]
