Stellar Density refers to the number of stellar systems contained within a specified volume of space, usually within a Sector.

Travelling in Charted Space

Description (Specifications)

The average density in the spiral arms is 500 to 650 systems per sector, which works out to 40-50%. Overall galactic stellar density remains lower than that of individual spiral arms. Galactic stellar densities are affected by astronomic morphology and non-spiral galaxies often hold much different make-ups. A number of other factors may affect galactic stellar density. Rifts or void areas have a very low density of stars, not a complete absence.

This map shows the stellar density of each sector in Charted Space.
