Stazhlekh report
After years of tension and increasing pressure, war has at last broken out between the Descarothe Hegemony and the League of Suns. As the war effort begins to gather force within the League, a band of former military personnel are contacted by an officer in the Military Intelligence Division. He tells them that the League's efforts to mobilise have been hampered by uncertainty about the attitude of the Domain of Alntzar, a hereditary foe The Hegemony is hampered by internal resistance from neo-nationalist movements on Desaekhe (Far Frontiers 1734), the capital of the Hegemony. The League has some contact, through agents, with the various resistance groups. A listening post has heard a priority report that an agent has been caught attempting to send vital information. A rescue operation is needed but the resistance forces are unable to undertake it against the local Secret Police security. A commando raid is needed...
Harrensa Project
The group are contacted by an anonymous individual who wants some material stolen from a research facility on the water world Xulfor (Old Expanses 0117).
