Squanine is a nonindustrial vacuum world, which warrants hazardous environment precautions.

  • Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
  • As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
  • It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Trin's Veil Subsector of Spinward Marches Sector in the Domain of Deneb.
  • It is located in the Dodds Cluster.
  • The government is also in charge of the colony on Burtson (Spinward Marches 2534).

History & Background (Dossier)

Squanine is a non-industrial Imperial world in Trin's Veil Subsector of the Spinward Marches.

Squanine was originally settled in the second wave of colonists to reach the Marches as a jumping-off point for Glisten Subsector. The population reached its height around the year 750 at just over 1 million, and has declined ever since due to steady relocation of families to Burtson.
