A Sophontologist is a scientist who studies Sophontology, or the study of intelligent technology-using beings.

This study includes cultural, biological, and physiological aspects of life including comparitive studies of the differences between sophonts.

Sophontology is a broad area of study, and serves to bridge the gap between other more-detailed scientifc subjects.
