Soghzalghag is a high-population, industrial world with a billion or more sophonts in population size.
- As an industrial world, this planet has well-developed manufacturing and processing industries. Manufactured goods are a major export item.
- Its economy is rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to rapidly improve barring outside forces.
- It is a member of the Ngath Confederation in the Voenggaks Subsector of Windhorn Sector, within the Vargr Extents. The population is primarily Vargr.
- This world-system hosts a Naval Base, usually associated with military starships, which may be located on or off-world.
- This world hosts a Vargr Corsair Base.
- It is the homeworld of the Aezorgh.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Soghzalghag has a solitary primary star.
- It is a white main sequence.

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x10 secondary rocky worlds.
- x4 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Soghzalghag is a Meso World between 10,400km and 12,000km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.7G and 0.9G. The horizon will appear about 4.7km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Soghzalghag has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. While a Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Soghzalghag has 75-85% of its surface covered by liquid water with a few large continents and extensive islands. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
The planet has five small continents. The first Vargr settlements were on the shore of the Thaegzil continent.
Before the Vargr arrived, the landmass of Soghzalghag was mostly covered by dense forests. Now, the world is defined by industry and urbanization.
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly watery world.)
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Soghzalghag is the homeworld of the Aezorgh, physically small but smart sophont hexapods.
The world was originally claimed by the Vilani more than eight millennia ago and was eventually absorbed into the Ziru Sirka. It was nominally under the authority of the Rule of Man prior to the Long Night.
- It has Ziru Sirka-era ruins and remains on its surface.
Within a few centuries of its occupation by the Vargr the world had become industrialized, with massive numbers of Vargr immigrating to what had become a growing regional powerhouse. Soon the population had soared into the billions, and the air and water had became fouled with industrial waste.
The Aezorgh have remained a significant minority on their own homeworld since that time, able to survive surreptitiously in the growing Vargr cities, occupying underground tunnels such as sewers and conduits, and living within the walls of buildings.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Soghzalghag has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
- The world is host to a Vargr Corsair Base.
- The world is host to a Vargr Naval Base.
World Population (P)[edit]
Soghzalghag has a population of 30,000,000,000 sophonts (tens of billions).
- High Population Worlds like this tend to have huge consumer markets.
- More than 90% of the population is made up of Vargr.
- Less than 10% of the population consists of Aezorgh.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Soghzalghag possesses a Technology Level of TL–6.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Telephone, radio, and television.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fission power generation, advanced water and wind generation of electricity.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Improved automobiles, early ATV's, and dedicated AFV's.
- Water: Amphibious vehicles, improved submersibles, and early SCUBA gear.
- Air: Early jet aircraft and rotorcraft VTOL's.
- Space: Early unmanned rocket delivery systems and early manned orbital rockets.
World Government (G)[edit]
Soghzalghag has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.
- Only some of the nation-states on the world are members of the Ngath Confederation.
World Law (L)[edit]
Soghzalghag has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

World Timeline[edit]
Major events that have affected this world and the wider region that it lies within:
- -4045 to -2204: the Ziru Sirka claims and settles worlds across the region.
- -3810: the Vargr discover jump technology and begin an era of expansion.
- -2404 to -2215: the human Interstellar Wars rage to rimward. The region becomes increasingly neglected.
- ca -2400: Vargr reach the world and found a colony.
- -2400s: Vargr raiding into the region significantly increases. This becomes known as the Vargr Pillaging.
- -2204 to -1776: the Rule of Man nominally administers the worlds of the region. Conflicts escalate between Vargr and humans as the Vargr occupy former Ziru Sirka territory.
- -2180: The local government proclaims the Aezorgh as property, enslaving the entire species. Aezorgh reproduction aids the spread of enslaved sophonts, allowing eggs to be taken from their mothers to be factory-raised and indoctrinated.
- circa -1700: Vargr rimward expansion gradually ceases: the border between human and Vargr space stabilizes.
- -1776 to 0: the Long Night. There is widespread regression within the area and some worlds become barren.
- The Aezorgh have spread to other Vargr worlds in Windhorn and neighbouring sectors, both as slaves and as stowaways.
- The Year 0: to rimward, the Third Imperium is founded.
- 300-420: the Imperial First Survey charts the system.
- 995-1065: the Imperial Second Survey charts the system.
- 1039: Two of the major governments on Soghzalghag join the Ngath Confederation. As a result of the legal requirements, nearly every Aezorgh becomes a free sophont in principle.
- 1065: the Second Survey is published. Information about the system becomes widely available.
