Smoug has a thin, tainted atmosphere and a complete lack of surface water, making it poorly suited to sophont habitation. The system has a population of tens of millions of sophonts. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Lunion Subsector of Spinward Marches Sector and in the Domain of Deneb. Smoug, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight and the fiefdom of a marquis. Both are members of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world.
Astrography & Planetology
Smoug is a member of the Spinward Main.
Smoug's high density is due to large iron deposits, and oxidized dust gives the world its reddish hue and makes the use of filter masks necessary. Most of the population employed in iron mining or support industries.[2]
