Six Gun is a rich water world with a moderate population over a hundred million, but not yet at a billion sophonts in population size.

  • Its surface is 90% or more covered in an ocean of water.
  • The inhabitants of this world live on the roughly 10% of exposed land mass, in underwater colonies, on city ships, or similar arrangements.
  • This is a rich world with a prosperous and thriving world economy.
  • This world has high-grade living conditions with a good climate and a non-harmful environment. As such, this world is much sought after with large queues for immigration here.
  • Most observers think that the planet's economy and population will prosper in the near future barring outside forces.
  • It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Ebasha Subsector of Diaspora Sector in the Domain of Sol.
  • This world was colonized by and is controlled from Bones (world).

Mainworld Size (S)

This world is a Big World between 13,600km and 15,200km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 1G and 1.3G. The horizon will appear about 5.4km away. Vessels with only 1G of thrust should avoid landing on this world.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)

This world has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. A Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)

This world has 95-100% of its surface covered by liquid water with only a few islands and archipelagos. Wilderness refueling is possible. Such worlds are Water Worlds or Ocean Worlds.

History & Background

Honorably dismissed from service with Diabei in 1127, Six Gun’s returning Colonial Army found the local government in complete disarray. They threw out the Colonial Proctors from Six Gun’s parent system—Bones—and set themselves up as the new leaders. However, they are even more hierarchical and painfully orthodox than the old government.

  • The Fishing Admirals of this water-world’s most influential Sweeper Fleets (Six Gun’s primary source of income) have requested that the current junta step down. Naval units have been dispatched from the small rocky island capital of Blackspire to deal with these "seditious buccaneers." In response, the Fishing Admirals have accepted the services of a company of Cumberan light infantry which happened to pass through the system.
  • Oblivious to these dire portents of civil strife, the planet’s almost 20 million chirpers continue to produce large numbers of aquatically adapted mutant offspring. This trend, which has been noted for 200 years, has accelerated. Almost 10 percent of all hatchlings have the new amphibious physiology.

Imperial Landed Nobility (N)

Six Gun, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of three members of the Imperial Nobility, who are charged with overseeing the world.

World Starport (Sp)

Six Gun has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

World Population (P)

This world has a population of 100,000,000 sophonts (hundreds of millions).

World Demographics

Humaniti, population 100%

World Government (G)

Six Gun has a Captive Government or Colony. The world is ruled by an external government, there is no self-rule. A colony or conquered area. The local government is an oligarchy appointed by, and answerable only to, the external government.

World Law Level (L)

This world has a high law level with laws covering many areas of interactions of people, corporations, and the government. A few worlds with this law level may be Amber Zones. Any interaction with the judicial system requires an Advocate trained in the local legal system. Law enforcement is present almost everywhere, either as people or via technology. Legal proceedings can take weeks to months to resolve and involve a dozen or more people. All blade weapons and firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

  • They have level 4.

Six Gun possesses a Technology Level of TL–8.

  • Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics, improved telephones, and satellite communication and data networks.
  • Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Improved geothermal and improved batteries.
  • Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
