Sii'kh Shi is a poor, nonindustrial desert hellworld with a population struggling to survive in an inhospitable environment.
- Hellworlds often offer daily, and sometimes hourly, life-threatening situations to their inhabitants. Survivors often form intense survival skills and tend to be grim realists.
- This world has no free-standing water.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- It is a member of the Sath Alliance in the Sath Subsector of Far Home Sector.
- This world-system hosts a Military Base, usually associated with military ground forces, which may be located on or off-world.
- This world is a colony of Ch'kaahi
- Warning: humans are not welcome within the Sath Alliance. Those few humans that venture into its territory are generally met with a hostile reception and are closely monitored at all times.
Astrography and Planetology
This star system is detailed using the Fringian Variant System Description.
- It is part of the K'shek Cluster.

System Data
K'Khahss-Sii'kh Shi System
The primary is K'Khahss, an ordinary yellow main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 0.67 Sols, a mass of 0.94 Sols, and a diameter of 1.266 million km. The inner system consists of (I) a vacuum inner world, and (II) Sii'kh Shi, designated the mainworld. (III) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world orbits within the habitable zone. (IV) a sparse stony planetoid belt, (V) a sparse icy planetoid belt, (VI) a ringed very large gas giant, and (VII) a sparse icy planetoid belt form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
Mainworld Data
(II) Sii'kh Shi
(II) Sii'kh Shi is designated the mainworld. It orbits K'Khahss at a mean distance of 0.52 AU (77.8 million km), within the H– region of the inner system. It has an orbital period of 141 days 7 hours and a rotation period of 38.5 hours. The axial tilt is 19 degrees. Sii'kh Shi has a diameter of 6,802 km, a density of 5.86 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.57 G. The world is geologically inert. Its atmosphere is rated as Thin, Tainted, with a mean surface pressure of 0.66 bar and a composition of 83% nitrogen (N2), 16% oxygen (O2), and 1% argon (Ar), water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. The taint is caused by the relatively low percentage of atmospheric oxygen, large amounts of very fine airborne silicates and dust, and the high temperatures. Approximately 2% of the surface is covered in lakes of liquid water: tidal ranges are negligible. Mean surface temperature: 59°C. The climate is rated as Hot and experiences moderate seasonal changes during the local year. The atmosphere is active and strong weather systems driven by the star work across the globe.
Satellite
Sii'kh Shi retains a single natural satellite, a cratered vacuum worldlet named Schii:
- (IIa) Schii (UWP H100000-0, orbiting at 55 Diameters/375,000 km)
Mainworld geography and topography
Total surface area: 145 million km², Land surface area: 142 million km², Water surface area: 3 million km².
Native Lifeforms
Sii'kh Shi, the mainworld, has primitive native life, consisting entirely of microscopic cyanobacteria-parallels that exist in any location where they can find even a minimal trace of moisture. Their metabolic functions maintain the process of atmospheric renewal.
History & Background (Dossier)
This system is controlled by the Shikh'aa Faction of the Sath Alliance.
World starport
Sii'kh Shi has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World technology level
Sii'kh Shi possesses a Technology Level of TL–8.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics, improved telephones, and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Improved geothermal and improved batteries.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Advanced automobiles.
- Water: Triphibians and early artificial gills.
- Air: Improved helicopters and hypersonic jets.
- Space: Space shuttles, early space stations, and improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
World government
Sii'kh Shi has a Captive Government or Colony. The world is ruled by an external government, there is no self-rule. A colony or conquered area. The local government is an oligarchy appointed by, and answerable only to, the external government.
World military
The Sath Alliance Military Forces have four Military Bases. Most TL–11 warships are constructed at the two available class A starports. This planet has a TL–8 garrison force.
