Major Historical Events Timeline: 1116
These are some of the more important historical events that have affected this subsector:
- -9270: The Geonee discover a derelict starship of the Ancients in one of the Shiwonee system’s planetoid belts.
- -9240: Research pays off, allowing Geonee to copy jump drive technology and build starships.
- -9100: Following a strong debate on the future of the colonies, a member of the Meeralo Council is able to gain enough support to force a more centralized form of government. Bradasee I declares the Geonee Empire. The new empire surveys most of the Shiwonee Subsector over the next 20 years.
- Circa -8600: Vilani-settled parts of Massilia Sector are under the formal supervision of the Sharurshid. Traders from this bureau discover that the first Geonee jump drive was copied from a derelict. This is a serious blow to Vilani respect for the Geonee.
- -4900: The Geonee are defeated by the Vilani in the Consolidation Wars and their worlds incorporated into the Ziru Sirka.
- -250: Geonee worlds that survived the Long Night are able to launch space expeditions once again.
- -190: A collection of Geonee representatives, coordinated by the traditional Meeralo Council, meet at Prindee and declare the Second Geonee Confederation.
- -150: Advanced scouts from the Sylean Federation meet with the Geonee.
- 80: The Third Imperium's Pacification Campaigns are waged to unify nearby space under its rule. The Imperial Navy makes a show of force in Shiwonee Subsector. The Geonee worlds accept Imperial rule. Adding insult to injury, Imperial authorities place the subsector capital at Tlasov (Massilia 1328) rather than Shiwonee itself.
- 120: A major anti-Imperial insurrection ends with the establishment of three naval bases at Shiwonee, Hiponee, and Ashavakuna (Massilia 113l).
