Description (Planetology)[edit]

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Non-canon:

Pre-Imperial[edit]

This planet (Called Gunn at the time) was uninhabited at the foundation of the Imperium but there were ruins from two Long Night settlements - A series of collapsed structures about a well from the earliest and a crashed ship and associated survival shelters from the later.

Imperial[edit]

The planet was never colonised in earnest and the populations was typically miners, prospectors and people trying to set up on their own in the wilderness.

At the time of the 2nd Survey, There were just 40 inhabitants, one family of which was Vargr. The Port had a beacon, but was, in fact, no more than a large grav-barge that migrated about the globe as the resident's fancy took them. Locating the port when it didn't want to be found was hard, which made the port a useful place for "Just dropping things off".

Hard Times[edit]

The world was claimed by the Dzarrgh Federate in 1118, and the Vargr family that was in residence took the opportunity to return to Jubal (Corridor 0311) at that time.

New Era[edit]

The response of the residents to the imminent arrival of Virus was to disconnect their floating home's communicators and cable in the wireless parts of their systems. When Virus did arrive in about 1140 their response was to turn off the port beacon and hide. By the mid-1160's their radio no longer worked, and their grav-drive mechanic had died - so they could no longer move their home unless they wanted to risk it never moving again. By 1200 the few remaining residents on the planet had formed a corporate body controlled by a closed group known as "The Pilots".

Local Nobility[edit]

Shinku, as a member world of the Third Imperium has a member of the Imperial Nobility overseeing the world.

Non-canon:
While some land was ear-marked for a knightly estate, this was never developed or used, with the various holders of the land grant preferring to reside elsewhere in the Sector and draw on incomes from other investments.
