History & Background (Dossier)

Never fitted with a spinal mounted weapon this class typically failed to destroy enemy combatants of equivalent size and class. It five large missile bays were put to use in providing long range missile salvos. Provincial governmental officials in fleet procurement sought to reduce costs and only requisitioned dual turrets for the pulse laser and sand caster batteries, when triple turrets were clearly called for. Local yard personnel, knew better than to question orders and dutifully installed the inferior systems. Crews loved the uncrowded conditions as each crew member was afforded individual occupancy staterooms. There were 144 staterooms for the 144 crew. A security detail and marines were embarked. No low watch was provided and the computer had no back up systems, nor fiber optical redundancies. When requisitioned in bulk orders these vessels were less expensive than contemporary classes at their tonnage. They fought at the Battle of Agidda.
