Serenity Sector lies within the Where The Stars End region of the Empty Stars.

Description[edit]

Serenity Sector is a distant and unexplored region. It is believed that starfarers, elements of the Cripple Fleet, reached a few of its worlds thousands of years ago. These early travellers are believed to be the origin of the two polities that are said to lie within its borders.

History & Background[edit]

Very little information about Serenity Sector is available. Much of this is survey data from the Deep Sky Program: almost everything else is tall tales, hearsay, and rumor, often propagated by popular 3V Entertainment shows.

Native Sophonts (NILs):[edit]

No native sophont species are known to exist within Serenity Sector. There are almost certainly unknown NILs among its many unnamed and unexplored systems.

Demographics[edit]

No information yet available.

Historical Eras[edit]

Major Historical Events[edit]

Some of the important historical events that have affected Serenity Sector include:

  • 2255AD Serenity Sector is officially named. It had previously been charted by long-range scans performed by vessels the Last Armada.
  • 5550AD Star and world data for the sector becomes available with the publication of the DSP Listing.

Interstellar Relations[edit]

Two polities are believed to exist within Serenity Sector. These are possibly fictional.

Physical Astrography[edit]

The following astrographic features can be found within Serenity Sector:

Clusters & Traces[edit]

Rifts & Voids[edit]

Other Astrographic Features[edit]

Stars

  • Basilisk's Eye (1723 Tarchon Sector). The extremely luminous white supergiant star, lying around 45 parsecs to rimward-trailing, can be clearly seen from all of the worlds lying within Serenity Sector.
  • Demon's Eye (1621 Far Home Sector). The intensely luminous blue supergiant star, lying around 110 parsecs to spinward-rimward, can be clearly seen from all of the worlds lying within Serenity Sector.

Subsector Listing[edit]

No subsectors within Serenity Sector have been officially named. As such, subsector names are not marked on star charts.

  • Unofficially, each subsector is named for the brightest star, an unusual feature, or the most habitable or interesting world lying within its borders.

The practise of naming subsectors was originally adopted to help demark the difference between settled or explored areas (named subsectors) and empty wilderness (unnamed subsectors). However, this has broken down over time, largely due to the influence of popular 3V shows, and some subsectors that have never been visited now bear "official" titles on star charts.

  5. Subsector E: Girent Subsector.
  6. Subsector F: Asbari Subsector.
  7. Subsector G: Camabar Subsector.
  8. Subsector H: Orsigal Subsector.
