Scaladon is a moderate population world with over a hundred million, but not yet at a billion sophonts in population size.
- This is a "Puzzle" world designated as an Amber Zone. Caution is advised since the world has an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that are not well understood and might be a danger to a visitor.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Tobia Subsector of Trojan Reach Sector in the Domain of Deneb.
Description (Planetology)[edit]
Approximately 90% of Scaladon's surface is covered with toxic oceans, forcing the human population to cluster into a few rocky plateaus towering above sea level.
- The population density is alarmingly high and some plateaus have collapsed because of overcrowding.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Scaladon is an Imperial world located in the Tobia Subsector of the Trojan Reach.
- It has been issued an Amber Zone travel advisory.
The government of Scaladon is a religious dictatorship. The Chosen have the power of life and death over the people thanks to their mastery of air travel: flying vehicles are highly restricted on-world and those using such transport without authorization may be shot down by priests armed with anti-aircraft missiles.

Non-canon: Scaladon has a dense, high atmosphere, and its entire population inhabits a few small plateaus. It is run by a religious dictatorship which regularly 'sacrifices' randomly drawn citizens by throwing them off the plateaus.
Scaladon is ruled by an apocalyptic cult known as the Prophets of Geynim. The Geynimites enshrined a number of senseless and cruel rituals into their liturgy, and a good portion the population was only too happy to leave as much distance between themselves and this godforsaken world as the Representational Reforms would allow them. The Prophets have largely ignored the defection of these "apostates", and the remnant population remains fanatically loyal to their priests and their idiot cult, a popular choice that the Regency must respect and abide by.
