S'mrii Incorporated Association

A S'mrii Incorporated Association or SIA is a legal device created by the Imperium to allow S'mrii ‘pseudocorporate’ phyla to trade on an equal regulatory footing with Human companies.

Description (Specifications)

The acronym SIA is added to S'mrii corporations to give a human-like legal appellation. Since SIA has been legally enshrined in Imperial commercial law and is managed by the Ministry of Commerce, it is not necessary to add the designation LIC after the designation SIA.

History & Background (Dossier)

The S'mrii started using the designation SIA around the late 200's as they increasingly engaged in commerce with the young Third Imperium. This construct has served the S'mrii as well as it has served the Imperium, and has readily been integrated into S'mrii laws, customs, and society.
