The Right of Fleet Control is an archaic Imperial law providing for leadership succession by the dictates of power politics, or the principle that might makes right, the law of the jungle.

Derived from the phrase Emperor by right of fleet control, this became the central reason for determining the various admirals were suited to become Emperor during the Civil War.
