Richard Fields was a member of the HIWG New Zealand group from 1991 until 1999.

• He was a constant contributor to the group, the group's Meshan sector project and The Meshan Saga fanzine.
• He was the principal author for the Meshan Sector Classic Traveller project from 2001-2002, which didn't publish in the end.
• He also contributed to the FSpaceRPG project.
