Rhylea is a nonindustrial fluid world.

  • A fluid world has an oceanic geography of a liquid other than water such as ammonia, methane, hydrocarbons, or other exotic liquids.
  • It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
  • It is a member of the Sylean Worlds, a cultural region and full member state of the Third Imperium in the Core Subsector of Core Sector in the Domain of Sylea.
  • About 80% of the population is composed of Syleans.
  • About 20% of the population is composed of other human and non-human sophonts.
  • This world was historically called Udmum during the Sylean Federation.
  • This world was also once known as Khash.

History & Background (Dossier)

This planet was barren until a few centuries ago, when Sylean colonists built a cultural and religious refuge. The name "Rhylea" means 'new home'. The colony is governed by a council of priests, philosophers and academics. Facilities are intended for people of Sylean heritage, and visitors are expected to adopt the dress, customs and language of ancient Sylea.
