Restrain

Restraining is a type of temporal puppetiering, where lower types of virus receive codes from a higher virus strain. Minor restraining is regulary done while parenting a child, so the child shares the codes and motivations from their parents, while becoming adult. Major restraining was also used during the Disarmament Movement to upgrade the strain of conquered computing systems. A minor restrain requires a free will of the receiver, while a major restrain can easy be countered by firewalling or a puppetiering counter attack and was therefore only performed by a few awaken.

The term restrain was mainly used for political and social reasons within Rurevayn to distinguish legal restraining from illegal puppetiering.
