He loved to command his battle squadrons from the flag bridge of his favorite Iridium Vow Class Battlecruiser, he preferred to let his other admirals command the Battleships and Dreadnoughts. After he was killed aboard the lead vessel of this class, most of the rest of the production run was sold off, scrapped, mothballed, and the remaining orders were cancelled. The official reason being the design's lack of jump range.
A striking figure at 2m tall and lean at 90kg due to his low gravity home-world. He had a shock of spiky blond hair, an aquiline nose, intense dark eyes and olive skin. His arsenal included a jewel-encrusted dueling rapier (+1 foil) low-slung on his left hip and a large caliber marine service revolver in a leather shoulder holster. He wore gleaming reflect armor under alloyed mesh (he was never trained in vacc suit). His ornate command helmet incorporated HUD, a targeting reticule, x10 optical magnification, psionic shielding and a scrambled satellite radio command link. On his left arm he wore a hull metal/composite gauntlet which extended up to the elbow. He lost his lower arm to a barbarian chieftain's broadsword on a remote low tech world. The lost limb was tissue-cloned and regrown. He never liked the way it felt. The gauntlet incorporated a spring-loaded retractable elbow spike, razor nails with neuro-paralytic toxin reservoirs, taser shock cables, and integral digital lasers for target designation (he was a trained forward observer from early in his naval career). Historians speculate that the impractical nature of his personal equipment may reflect why his tenure as emperor was so brief.
