Population Multiplier: The first digit of the "PBG" element of a UWP is the population multiplier. The number is used with the Population code in the UWP to determine the mainworld's overall population.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
Example: Take the following (fictitious) UWP:

The population code in Nerdle's UWP is 9. This indicates that the population is in the billions (9 zeros). The number 8 (at the beginning of the PBG) is the multiple for the population code, giving a population of 8,000,000,000, i.e. 8 multiplied by 10 to the power of 9 (8 * 10^9 = 8,000,000,000).
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The Office of the Emperor, the Imperial Bureaucracy, the Imperial Interstellar Scout Service, the Travellers' Aid Society, the Merchant Service, the Educational Institutes, and many other interstellar organizations use this data for governance, interstellar economy, world surveys, and other necessary tasks.
Such data drives Charted Space.
