Description (Specifications)
Petty Officer First Classs are non-commissioned officers aboard ship.
- The equivalent rank in the Imperial Army (Close Orbit and Airspace Control Command) is Leading Flight Sergeant.
- The equivalent rank in the Imperial Army (Ground Force Command) is Staff Sergeant.
- The equivalent rank in the Imperial Army (Nautical Force Command) is Petty Officer First Class.
- The equivalent rank in the Imperial Marines is also Staff Sergeant.
History & Background (Dossier)
The term petty officer dates back to the Age of Sail. They were a senior sailor, less than the officers but more senior than other ordinary sailors, was known as a petty or lesser officer.
