A combination electronic device, which often includes a phone, reader, calculator, hand computer, camera and clock. They are also used to store electronic IDs, photographs and electronic credit chips. Many PEDs are bought with storage space left vacant, so that new devices, like mapboxes, GPS systems or VDRs can be added. These devices are rechargeable, have a seventy-two hour battery life, measure around 150mm x 70mm x 18mm and weigh between 100g and 250g. They cost between CR75 and CR5,000.
