Patinir is a ring of many small planetoids not capable of retaining an atmosphere or water. The system has a population between 10,000 and 10 million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. This world contains an archaeological site with artifacts suspected to be from the now-vanished Ancients. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Aramis Subsector of Spinward Marches Sector and in the Domain of Deneb. Patinir, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world.
Astrography & Planetology
Because of the two jump bridges maintained in Pretoria Subsector of Deneb Sector, Patinir is connected L'sis Main to Trailing by a Jump-1 route, ranging throughout Pretoria and entering both Sabine and Lamas subsectors.

Dominated by a large gas giant, the system has only a few small planets and satellites, all of little importance. Circling the central star, however, is a broad asteroid belt that is the primary source of mineral wealth in the system. In orbit ahead of, as well as trailing, the gas giant are accumulations of asteroids at the Trojan points. These Trojan points are each the site of a self-contained space colony of about 480,000 persons population. Effectively identical, the space colonies each operate a refinery smelter, which processes are taken from the larger asteroid belt which orbits starward of the gas giant.
