The Oversight class Police Cruiser is a warship.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

Acquired long ago from an unknown agency in some arms deal, these more advanced imports were not built locally. They stand out with their bright white hulls with fierce looking red detail accents. Two phaser banks (laser guided particle accelerator barbettes) are fitted into the bow. A dorsal turret carries a pair of independently targetable point defense plasmatic pulsars (fusion guns). This turret is surrounded by a life ring (life boat) which for some reason requires the dorsal turret to be jettisoned in order to launch in case of an emergency so dire, as to require abandoning the ship. As a result the "life ring" is seldom deployed. Slung under each wing are clusters of fast, short ranged HE assault rocket batteries. Two barrages can be targeted from a centralized fire control, they use a crude IR homing sensor for terminal guidance, the supply of more sophisticated missiles was exhausted long ago. At the end of each wing, in a fitted launch cradle, sits a streamlined interceptor. The original fighters were lost long ago and a model with twin plasma guns was pressed into service as a replacement. Without dedicated marines customs inspections are problematic for the crew.
