The role of Navigator is a professional vocation.

  • A navigator is a member of a ship's crew
  • An individual must be qualified (skilled) to perform the role.
  • They may also be referred to as the Astro navigator or Astrogator.

Description (Specifications)

Each starship displacing greater than 200 Tons must have a navigator. The pilot of a small craft or non-starship can handle its navigation requirements.

History & Background (Dossier)

The navigator serves as part of the command crew of a ship.

Professional Certification

An individuals skill as a Navigator is rated by their Navigation Certificate:

  • Level 1 (Qualified)
  • Level 2 (Competent)
  • Level 3 (Experienced / Expert)
  • Level 4 or more (Master)
