This is a common, low cost version of a pulse laser or beam laser optimized for belt mining. Although capable of inflicting damage on an unmoving target at point blank range, it has difficulty hitting targets in combat, not to mention having a greatly limited range.

Adaptor Kit Koenig Mk 4 AL-AM The Koenig kit allows the crew of a ship to install a laser attenuation unit in a turret mounted pulse laser. This conversion gives the seeker crew the ability to rapidly change from a mining laser to a pulse laser and back again.
