Mianda has both an unbreathably thin atmosphere and a lack of surface water making habitation by sophonts difficult. The system has a population between 10,000 and 10 million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. This is a cold world with an overall climate is at the lower temperature range of human-congruous sophont endurance. This is a high technology world with available technology over the standards for Charted Space. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Laraa Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Mianda, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. The system supports both an Imperial Naval Base and a Scout Base with the additional starship traffic. During the Long Night this world was named Miishusuug.
Astrography and planetology
Mianda itself is cold and barren, with no native life and few exploitable resources. Mianda is a major communications hub and offers excellent starport and shipyard facilities.

Native lifeforms
The Mianda system is the homeworld of the Moses David, the only space-dwelling species yet discovered within Dagudashaag Sector.
History and background
The system is also an Imperial Navy training base and is used for military exercised. The population live in two orbital habitats that are owned and maintained by LifeTech Corporation. The habitats are supposed to be self-governing, but most of the key governmental positions are held by company advisers; few decisions are made without their approval. Although there is dissent the company provides well paid work and superb facilities, and enjoys a great deal of popular support.
