The Maxwell 4T class Grav APC is a Armored Fighting Vehicle.
- It is a military vehicle and a Grav APC.
Description (Specifications)
The Maxwell 4T class Grav APC was designed and manufactured at TL–11, these vehicles were license built for the High Senate at Denirad (world), along the Distant Fringe. The vehicle has a crew of three: driver, gunner and commander, and carries eight passengers. These probably date from models used during the Scybrian Wars.
High Senate Maxwell 4T class Grav APC, TL-11: The vehicle's crystaliron armor sheaths the chassis to levels of protection equivalent or slightly inferior to starship hull metal. This design is sealed with life support for the crew and passengers in vacuum and protected forces roles. It features heavy frontal armor on the radically slope chassis front, proof against most current weapon systems. Traditionally deployed in companies of ten APCs with 30 crew, and 80 dismounts, support units are concentrated at higher levels. One of the fundamental trade offs in the design was the decision to omit a main weapon in a stabilized turret on the vehicle's deck. A stock power plant is installed to save mass and cost, the grav modules do not need to compete for power. The turret is fitted with a laser rifle for target designation and a 4cm RAM AGL for suppressing softer targets. The TAC missiles appear as an expensive afterthought and their range is limited. They require a great deal of maintenance to keep operational and crews complain that the weapons load is insufficient to kill all enemy tank models. They must attempt to flank units to score killing strikes.
Basic Vehicle Characteristics
Following the Imperial Army and IISS Universal Vehicle Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (of ten craft) carried on the vehicle when applicable. Tonnage on the universal vehicle profile is shown in kilotons (thousands of tons) where necessary.

Turret Mounted Weapons
There is a laser rifle mounted with the 4cm RAM AGL in the turret, which can be used for target designation. It has a 100 shot battery.
Effective Range | Long Range | Extreme Range |
180 m (9) | 360 m (4) | 1,800 m (1) |
The automatic 4cm RAM grenade launcher comes with 1,600x HEAP (36) grenades. It can engage 2 targets and has a +2 signature.
Effective Range | Long Range | Extreme Range |
370 m | 750 m | 1,500 m |
TAC Missiles
There are twenty 22.1835kg capacity launch rails in a pod on the side of the turret. They use a 17cm HEAP 50 warhead or a HE 28/4/5 warhead and both have a 8.367km range. It takes a single crew member to manually reload these missiles externally if additional rounds are available, or carried in the cargo space. The homing missiles struggle to achieve intercepts against vehicles protected with advanced ECM abilities. Ten HEAP 50 target designated, and ten HE 28/4/5 homing missiles are included in the price.
Type | Range | Price |
Homing HEAP 50/HE 28/4/5 | 8.367km | Cr341.1835/333.1835 |

History & Background (Dossier)
Infantry formations have had use of these Grav APCs for several years and modified variants are beginning to come into service with different weapon packages. There is an indirect fire version arriving in artillery batteries.
