History & Background (Dossier)

A successor design to the much larger, more expensive Martin Brand class Grav Tank, this design was an effort to build a more lethal, compact vehicle. These are near silent killers, only the whine of the turbines belie their presence. Optimized to pour out fire power, they rely on long range, high intensity sniper shots with the pulse laser to knock out vehicles. Their pulse laser is burrowed from the Ohtar Mk 632 ACV/GEV, which at the time had a proven track record versus most MBTs on the battlefields of Haden (Ha 1515) (world). They are much slower than their larger brothers, especially at NOP, and carry less fuel, combined with a smaller power plant restricts their range of operations. The lack of ECM and point defense means that TAC missiles can pose a serious threat to them. Another serious omission is the complete lack of communication gear. Crews are forced to rely on short range personal communicators and are frequently off the battalion comms net as a result. None-the-less, they are still common among the Haden Military Units.
