Llewylla is a poor, nonindustrial hellworld with a population struggling to survive in an inhospitable environment.
- Hellworlds often offer daily, and sometimes even hourly, life-threatening situations to their inhabitants. Survivors often form intense survival skills and tend to be grim realists.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Rigel Subsector of Rigel Sector.

Mainworld Data
Llewylla has a Poor Starport without shipyards, can perform Major repairs, and provides Unrefined fuel. The main world is roughly 8,100 kilometers in diameter, and is a Small terrestrial with gravity 0.25G. The atmosphere has a pressure of 0.2 atmospheres and contains an unusual disease (SPBC) which requires the use of a filter mask. A vaccine is commonly available on the world for this disease. The surface is roughly 20 percent surface water, which qualifies it as a dry world. The main world has a general population of 20,000 local residents, which qualifies it as a Moderate population world. The local government is characterized as Self-Perpetuating Oligarchy, with government by a restricted minority, with little or no input from the masses. Visitors may find the law barely restrictive as machine guns, automatic weapons are regulated or restricted by local authorities.
Mainworld Geography & Topography
Llewylla has one large continent, and one large ocean. The water table is close to the surface, so water is readily available via wells. The land mass is primarily flat, there are no significant mountains ranges.

Native Lifeforms
While categorised as a dry world, the availability of water beneath the surface means that a type of native tree, called skeltin, have long roots, and with the low gravity they grow to immense sizes - the taller skeltin have been measured at over 300 metres. There are also dry grasses that grow in between stands of the skeltin.
The fauna is dominated by retiles. Due to the size of the trees, which are food for the herbivores that inhabit the planet, these reptiles have evolved to also be of immense size. The carnivores that prey on these herbivores have therefore also grown to immense size. The low gravity has also meant that flying reptiles are also common, both herbivores and carnivores.
There are also extensive numbers of birds, insects and small mammals native to the world.
History & Background (Dossier)
- 629 : A scout ship from Skanor arrived, having previously visited Listra, and brought with it the SPBC virus.
World starport
Llewylla has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World technology level
Llewylla possesses a Technology Level of TL–7.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Early video and early satellite communication networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fuel cells, solar energy, and geothermal power sources.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Improved automobiles, hovercraft, and bullet trains.
- Water: Hydrofoils and early triphibians.
- Air: Hang gliders and supersonic jets.
- Space: Deep space probes and interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
World government
Llewylla is governed by Self-Perpetuating Oligarchy. A single family or small group provides the leadership and important positions in the government. These positions are inherited by member of the group or their family members. The organization may be monarchy, with titles passed to family members.
