History & Background (Dossier)

Comp-Prog-Dav-R-Deitrick-Starter-Trav-Page-16 16-July-2018a.jpg

The corporation was founded in the mid-600s, following the establishment of the Imperial Express Boat Network. It remained as a relatively small organization until the early 800s, when a change in management and a partnership with Hortalez et Cie began a period of commercial expansion and transformed it into its modern form. It extended its operations into Verge Sector, operating a wholly owned subsidiary in the region. The Verge operation was always the poor relation and eventually it broke away, undergoing a management buyout in the 1050s and becoming Ilelish Interstellar Information Interchange, an entirely independent commercial entity. It maintains a good working relationship with its former subsidiary.

Llelish Interstellar maintains small offices at most Class A and Class B Starports, larger operations centers at Xboat hubs, and commercial facilities on all high population worlds within Ilelish Sector.

Company lore has it that "Llelish" was chosen as the name when the founder's infant daughter mispronounced Ilelish.

Trade Partners

Travellers' Aid Society.jpg Logo Hortalez et Cie Basic 2.png Ilelish Interstellar Information.jpg

  • Hortalez et Cie, an Imperial Megacorporation involved in banking and investments. Early access to breaking news and developing stories gives them a considerable commercial advantage.
  • Ilelish Interstellar Information Interchange (generally referred to as "I4"), the premier communications and media provider within Verge Sector. It is a former subsidiary of Llelish Interstellar that was brought out by its management in the 1050s and now operates as an independent commercial entity.
    • I4's style of jounalism is often considered intrusive and sensationalist, particularly with regard to the High Nobility, politics, and Imperial court intrigues. This has frequently caused it expensive legal issues.
  • The Traveller's Aid Society.
  • Various subsector and planetary news and media organizations. These are referred to as affiliates.

Trade Competitors

  • Dlan Broadcasting Network.
