Libert is an important high-population, non-agricultural, industrial world and a sector capitol with a billion or more sophonts in population size.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Libert Subsector of Diaspora Sector in the Domain of Sol.
- As an industrial world, this planet has well-developed manufacturing and processing industries. Manufactured goods are a major export item.
- It is unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
- In 1099 the General Shipyards Information Office on Libert released the "Naval Architect's Handbook."
Imperial High (Landed) Nobility
Libert, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of three members of the Imperial Nobility, who are charged with overseeing the world.
- It holds the estate of an Imperial knight.
- It holds the fiefdom of an Imperial count.
- It holds the fiefdom of an Imperial subsector duke.
- Libert is the seat of the Archduke of Sol, Kieran Langos Adair. The Archduke earned his degree in political science from Omicron University, also located on Libert.

- The second-most important faction on Libert, CommerStar Industries, controls the nearby colony world of Quafe (Diaspora 1007).
- Libert has a tradition of dueling with its own code duello, which specifies how a duel may be conducted.
- The Libert Code allows for three sorts of offenses that may provoke a duel: (1) simple offense, (2) personal insult, and (3) physical violence.
