Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard generation. |
A Launch (also called Lifeboat) uses a 20-ton hull, is capable of 1-G acceleration, carries one ton of fuel tankage, and has a crew of two. [1]
- It is also known as the Type U class Launch. It typically comes in a 20 ton smallcraft variation, but other variations are possible including larger bigcraft.
- It is generally a civilian ship] and a noncombatant smallcraft.
Description (Specifications)
A launch may mount missile racks and sandcasters; it may not mount lasers as weapons. The craft has thirteen tons excess space available for custom use, and typically cost MCr14. [1]
Basic Ship Characteristics
Following the Imperial Navy and IISS Universal Ship Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (of ten craft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (thousands of tons) where necessary. [2]
