A Launch (also called Lifeboat) uses a 20-ton hull, is capable of 1-G acceleration, carries one ton of fuel tankage, and has a crew of two. [1]

Description (Specifications)

A launch may mount missile racks and sandcasters; it may not mount lasers as weapons. The craft has thirteen tons excess space available for custom use, and typically cost MCr14. [1]

History & Background (Dossier)

Even the smallest ships carry Lifeboats or Launches. It has become one of the eight most popular and commonly encountered smallcraft designs found within Charted Space.
